The professional social networking site, LinkedIn, has just announced a new feature – LinkedIn Board Member Connect for nonprofit organizations – which allows members to deepen relationships and cultivate connections that could potentially become board members for your nonprofit organization.
When your nonprofit signs up for LinkedIn Board Member Connect, you’ll receive:
- Free access to a Talent Finder account that amplifies your ability to search and reach out to your board’s extended network
- LinkedIn educational webcasts
- Membership to the Board Connect group – giving your nonprofit access to exclusive content and a peer network
The new LinkedIn feature is a good free way to strengthen your nonprofit’s community and help gain support for your mission. Other ways your nonprofit can expand its reach on LinkedIn are by creating a Company Page and encouraging advocates to add LinkedIn’s Volunteer Experience & Causes field to their profile to create awareness for your mission.
